UniAdmissions' Students - Our Admissions Criteria

UniAdmissions is a selective prep school, so our applicants need to demonstrate certain characteristics and meet certain criteria in order to be considered for our support. We want all of our students to find success in their Oxbridge, Medicine and Law applications, so it’s important for us to determine early on whether a student has the drive and ability to reach this success. But what are the things we look for in a “UniAdmissions Student”?

1. Grades

Our students achieve (or are close to achieving) their required grades or predicted grades before joining us.

You can also book a consultation session online to begin the enrolment process and determine you or your child’s suitability as an applicant.

We are even more selective with our tutors

Our students are required to meet our high standards of entry, but the standards for our tutors are even higher. Each tutor that we work with is an Oxbridge graduate the finished in the Top 10% of their cohort, meaning we only work with the best of the best!

Once a student has registered with us, the process begins to match them with the perfect tutor. We take into account the student and tutor’s backgrounds and experiences to ensure they can work together effectively and ensure success.

Our expert form mentors offer regular support with our programmes

When registered, each of our tutors will join a form which is run by a specially selected Form Mentor. These mentors run fortnightly sessions in which they support their Form with general aspects of their application and using their resources effectively.

If a student is struggling with their programme in any way, they can speak with their Form Mentor 1-1 to get advice on how they can make better use of their resources and tuition hours. The Form Mentor is there to make sure each student is giving themselves the best chance of succeeding in their application.

Why Are We So Selective?

You may wonder why we are so selective with the students that we admit to our various programmes. There are multiple reasons for this, but the core belief of UniAdmissions is to provide a quality service that gives every person we work with a great chance of success in their university application.

As a prep school, we pride ourselves on our high success rates amongst our students. We maintain these high success rates by ensuring we work with applicants who have the right attitude to succeed in the Oxbridge, Medicine and Law application processes.

However, it’s not just about our success rates. Enrolling in one of our programmes can be a fairly large investment, so we want to ensure that we deliver the quality and value of teaching that you would expect. This can only be done if a student is willing to fully engage with our wide selection of resources and support, so our selection process determines if an applicant is the right fit for what we provide.

They will also provide you with details about our programmes and answer any questions you may have. Once the session is finished, your Admissions Consultant will send you an information package, containing more details about our programmes.

UniAdmissions Foundation

Each year, we provide access to our programmes for a select few applicants via our mentoring scheme. We believe that everyone with the qualities of an Oxbridge student should have a fair chance of getting the place they deserve, regardless of background. Therefore, we seek to provide support for those who would not be able to access it elsewhere. Find out more about eligibility and how to apply on our UniAdmissions Foundation page.
