Application Support
Firstly we will help you make the right decision regarding course and University choice.
Whether this is through a meeting with our Academic Director or by arranging sessions with tutors from Oxford and/or Cambridge in your considered subject areas. We will help you come to an informed conclusion on one of the most important decisions you will ever make.
You will receive a full introduction to your Programme by your Programme Manager, along with your tutor, Form Mentor and our Academic Director. Throughout your time with us, they will be here to help.
1-1 IMAT Tutoring
Your programme includes 1-1 tuition sessions with an experienced IMAT tutor who will provide comprehensive support for all three sections of the exam. The tailored support will cater to your specific requirements and your tutor, who has previously excelled in the IMAT, will assist you in being well-prepared for success in the admissions test.

Comprehensive IMAT Materials
We have published over 100 highly-rated titles over the years covering all aspects of the application process. Upon enrolling in the programme, you will be granted complete access to our comprehensive IMAT textbook, which features comprehensive theory for each question type and an ample supply of practice resources.

Medicine Enrichment Seminars
To truly distinguish yourself in your application, it’s essential to be continuously involved in your area of study and develop a deeper understanding of it. Therefore, our Enrichment Seminars are here to support you in this pursuit.
Starting from the first week of the programme, you will be invited to attend these seminars that will enable you to gain extensive knowledge about your chosen subject outside of the standard curriculum, something that admissions tutors seek in the top applicants.

Forms Group & Mentoring
All of our students will be placed into a form group overseen by a Form Mentor. These mentors will lead fortnightly sessions to direct their group through the various aspects of the general application process and teach them how to leverage the available resources.
Should you experience any challenges during your programme, you can arrange unlimited one-on-one mentoring sessions with your Form Mentor, who is on hand to ensure that you have the best chance of success in your application.
You’ll join your Medicine Academic Head’s form group for guidance and unlimited mentoring sessions.

What is the IMAT?
The IMAT is an Admissions Test required for English taught Medicine and Dentistry courses in Italy.

Does the IMAT have negative marking?
There is a penalty of -0.4 points for each incorrect answer in the IMAT. This removes the luxury of always being able to guess should you not be able to figure out the right answer or run behind on time.
Who are your IMAT tutors?
Every IMAT tutor at UniAdmissions is carefully vetted by our programmes team, meaning you will only work with experienced, highly knowledgeable tutors who are truly experts in the IMAT.
If you are ever unhappy with your tutor (an unlikely occurrence), then your dedicated Programme Manager will arrange a better-suited tutor for you.
How many students do you work with each year?
We work with a maximum of 500 students each year across all of our Programmes to ensure we can provide the best support suited for their particular needs. We also abide by a selective criteria to the students that we work with.
Our Programmes have a structured syllabus, however, we tweak elements of the syllabus so the student is able to gain the most out of our support.
When does the Programme start?
We do have ideal start times at points throughout the year, however, the syllabus can be adapted to suit your particular start time if you are accepted onto the Programme. Our Admissions Consultants can help you understand the Programme timeline in your specific case – all you need to do is ask.
I'm struggling in one area - Can I spend the whole session on it?
Why shouldn't I just book an IMAT course instead of a Programme?
Unfortunately, the IMAT cannot be properly prepared for in a couple of days. We’ve found, through years of research and preparing students for the IMAT, that doing it over a longer period of time is a much more effective way of actually absorbing the skills needed to perform on the day and ultimately get a higher IMAT score.

Once you have enrolled on the IMAT Programme with us, we will invite you to an onboarding session and begin to arrange your tutors.
This session will introduce you to important members of our team who will be supporting you along your journey with UniAdmissions. We will also show you how to get the most out of your Programme and how to use everything that is included.
