Our talented authors are the key to the excellent service we pride ourselves on, passing on not only their expertise, but also their enthusiasm to inspire the next generation to succeed. All are either current senior students, recent graduates or from a professional background. We are proud to introduce below the authors that have recently contributed to books published by UniAdmissions.

David Salt

David Salt

David is Director of Services at UniAdmissions, taking the lead in product development and customer service. David read medical sciences at Gonville and Caius College Cambridge, graduating in 2012, completed his clinical studies in the Cambridge Clinical School and now works as a medical doctor.

David is an experienced tutor, having helped students with all aspects of the university applications process. He has authored five books to help with university applications and has edited four more. Away from work, David enjoys cycling, outdoor pursuits and good food.

Ranjna Garg

Ranjna Garg

Ranjna is as a Consultant Physician at the Royal Free Trust London NHS Foundation Trust. Over the last decade, she has taught hundreds of junior doctors and prepared them through postgraduate examinations and job interviews. She enjoys helping students with their medical school preparation and has interviewed for London medical schools as well.

She has done significant research on the use of high strength insulin for patients with severe insulin resistance. In her spare time, she enjoys photography and running

Rohan Agarwal

Rohan Agarwal

Rohan is the Director of Operations at UniAdmissions and is responsible for its technical and commercial arms. He graduated from Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge and is a fully qualified doctor. Over the last five years, he has tutored hundreds of successful Oxbridge and Medical applicants. He has also authored fifty on admissions tests and interviews.

Rohan has taught physiology to undergraduates and interviewed medical school applicants for Cambridge. He has published research on bone physiology and writes education articles for the Independent and Huffington Post. In his spare time, Rohan enjoys playing the piano and table tennis.

Aayushi

Aayushi Sen

Aauyushi co-authored The Ultimate OSCE History Guide – the guide focuses soley on the Medical History Taking Stations which play a big part of the clinical curriculum.

Aayushi graduated from Imperial College London School of Medicine with a Distinction in Clinical Sciences after completing her undergraduate degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge (Neuroscience (BA) Hons.). She was amongst the top ten students in her final year OSCEs and was awarded multiple distinctions throughout medical school.

Alex Ochakovsky

Alex Ochakovsky

Alex is the co-founder and Managing Director at IMAT School, as well as the founder of MEDschool.it website. As a graduate of a first of a kind International Medical School in Italy, a former official supervisor of the IMAT test in Pavia and a dedicated curator of MEDschool.it, Alex has developed a deep understanding of the IMAT and the admission process over the years, following IMAT from the day it was created.

As an avid researcher with over ten peer-reviewed publications, experienced software developer, a fluent speaker of five languages and a medical doctor, Alex feels most fulfilled by combining his passions and strengths in projects that make a positive impact on society.

Jason Briggs

Jason Briggs

Jason studied Chemistry at the University of Liverpool where he qualified with honours in 2008 and then began his career working at one of the largest biotech companies in the world. He stayed in this industry for 3 years before following his true passion, a career in Dentistry. He is a fully qualified dentist having recently qualified from the University of Sheffield. His interests lie in restorative dentistry and full mouth rehabilitation. Jason enjoys rock climbing, bouldering and swimming in his spare time. 

Jessica Nazareth

Jessica Nazareth

Jessica is a fully qualified dentist who qualified from the University of Sheffield in 2016. She now works as an associate dentist in multiple practices in the North West of England providing both NHS and Private care. She has actively participated in campaigns for Oral Cancer awareness and National Smile Month, which educates the public on prevention and the importance of good oral health. She has a keen interest in preventative techniques and aesthetics. 

Away from dentistry she enjoys baking, badminton, arts and crafts

Matthew Williams

Matthew is Medical Resources Editor at UniAdmissions and a 4thyear medical student at St Catherine’s College, Oxford. As the first student from Barry Comprehensive School in South Wales to receive a place on the Oxford medicine course he embraced all aspects of university life, both social and academic. Matt Scored in the top 5% for his UKCAT and BMAT to secure his offer at the University of Oxford.

Matthew has worked with UniAdmissions since 2014 – tutoring several applicants successfully into Oxbridge and Russell group universities. His work has been published in international scientific journals and he has presented his research at conferences across the globe. In his spare time, Matt enjoys playing rugby and golf.

Miguel Sequeira Campos

Miguel is an Academic Foundation Doctor in Plastic Surgery, in London. He graduated with a Triple distinction from King’s College London, being awarded the Medical School Gold Medal for top student in his cohort. He completed an intercalated BSc in Anatomy, graduating with First Class Honours. He has published research, presented internationally and taught hundreds of individuals including young offenders from disadvantaged backgrounds and other medical students.

All of Miguel’s book royalties are donated to medical charities.

Shivun Khosla

Shivun Khosla

Shiven graduated from Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge with first-class honours in Biological and Biomedical Sciences before completing his clinical training in the East Anglia region, centred at Cambridge University Hospitals Trust. After spending his foundation year in Kent, Shivun is now a trainee at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust.

Shivun has a passion for medical education having lectured and tutored throughout his time in Cambridge to medical, veterinary, and biological science students on undergraduate and post-graduate courses. He has also implemented foundation training courses in the South Thames Foundation School, with his work being acknowledged and rewarded by Kings College London and the deanery.

Somil Desai

Somil Desai

Somil has been part of the UniAdmissions team since 2014 tutoring and bringing together BMAT Past Paper Worked Solutions working alongside Rohan Agarwal.

Somil is currently studying Accelerated Medicine at Worcester College, Oxford and hopes to one day become a Psychiatrist. Previously, Somil studied Natural Sciences at St John’s College, Cambridge where he came top of the year in his final exams.

Between his 2 degrees, Somil spent a year tutoring thirty students GCSE and A Level Maths and Science, and helped several students with their Oxbridge and medical school application. Of note, he has assisted several of his tutees in exceeding their expected BMAT score.

Linh Pham

Linh graduated from Natural Sciences at St John’s College, Cambridge in 2015.  A keen Physicist, Linh scored in the top 16 students nationwide in the British Physics Olympiad 2012.  As a tutor, Linh specialises in helping students with science admissions tests, especially the NSAA.

After winning innovation awards from Facebook, Uber and Google, Linh is now CEO of the venture-funded LOGIVAN Technologies Pte. – a Singapore based company tackling freight transportation problems in Vietnam.  Away from work, Linh relaxes by practicing yoga, swimming and badminton.

Madhivanan Elango

Madhivanan graduated with a 1st class degree in Engineering from the University of Cambridge coming in the top 10% of his year and specialising  in bioengineering, instrumentation and control and mechanical engineering. In his final year, he completed a project on the automated diagnosis of otitis media and was awarded the 3rd Year Computer-based Project Prize.

Madhi has won gold medals in the UK Mathematics and Chemistry Olympiads. Madhi has worked with UniAdmissions since 2016 and has successfully tutored many students into Oxbridge. In his spare time, Madhivanan enjoys badminton, chess and travelling.

Peter Stephenson

Peter is an Oxbridge Admissions tutor at UniAdmissions. He is currently in his 4th year of studying Physics at St. Catherine’s College, Oxford. Peter achieved a distinction in each of his first three years and has been awarded an ATV Scholarship. Next year he is starting a PhD at Imperial College, focussing on plasma atmospheres around comets.

Outside of academia, Peter enjoys playing rugby and escaping into the countryside to climb some very tall rocks.

Rachel Weichao

Rachel Weichao

Weichao Rachel is a research fellow at University of Leeds, Faculty of Medicine and Health. She obtained her Ph.D. in Biophysics at Cambridge University after completing a B.Sc. in Physics at Stanford University where she was awarded the President’s Award for Academic Excellence.

Rachel is passionate about tutoring students and has taught Physics and Engineering summer classes at Cambridge University. She has worked with UniAdmissions since 2017 – helping budding natural sciences applicants with their Oxbridge applications. She has supervised physics undergraduates at Cambridge and in her free time enjoys travelling and reading detective fictions

Wiraaj Agnihotri

Wiraaj Agnihotri

Along with 3 other specialist NSAA tutors Wiraaj co-authored The Ultimate NSAA Guide.

Wiraaj graduated in 2012 with an honours degree in Natural Sciences from Pembroke College, Cambridge where he was selected to receive annual scholarship funding from the Cambridge Trusts. In his final year at Cambridge he specialised in the rigorous Mechanisms of Disease option during which he wrote an independent research dissertation on autoimmune thyroid disease.

Wiraaj subsequently completed graduate medical studies (MBBS) at the University of Sydney in 2016. He is currently a resident medical officer in Sydney where he plans to pursue further clinical specialisation as an internal medicine physician.

Aiden Ang

Aiden Ang

Aiden graduated from Peterhouse, Cambridge, with a First Class Honours Law degree and has tutored Oxbridge law applicants at UniAdmissions for two years.

Aiden scored in the top 10% nationally in the LNAT and is now a trainee solicitor at a top US firm in London. He has a keen interest in helping out students with application advice as he believes that students should get all the help they need in order to succeed in their applications. In his spare time, he likes to travel and run outdoors.

David and Dr Rohan Agarwal worked together to author the Ultimate ECAA Guide – bringing together a massive 300 practice questions and powerful time saving strategies to help you improve your ECAA, specially written for the 2018 admissions test.

David is a Merger & Acquisitions Associate at The Hut Group, a leading online retailer and brand owner in the Beauty & Wellness sectors. Prior to joining The Hut Group, he worked in roles at the Professional Service firm Deloitte, the Investment Bank Greenhill and the Private Equity firm Hgcapital.

Jonathan Madigan

Jonathan Madigan

Jon studied Economics and Management at St Hugh’s College, Oxford, between 2013 and 2016. He sat the Thinking Skills Assessment and scored full marks in section 1 of the paper, placing him in the top 0.1% of candidates who sat the assessment that year.

Jon has worked with UniAdmissions since 2014, working primarily as a personal tutor for a number of applicants across the entire application process. He has also provided Thinking Skills Assessment preparation courses within schools, and remains very familiar with all aspects of the paper.

William Anthony

William Anthony

Will graduated from Downing College, Cambridge with a Law degree and has worked for UniAdmissionssince 2015. His primary role is as a personal tutor, working with Oxbridge candidates to assist them through all stages of the application process. Since working for UniAdmissions, Will has successfully tutored a number of students preparing to sit the LNAT and is very familiar with all aspects of the paper.

He has an obsession with accuracy and in his spare time, he enjoys road cycling and keeping up with legal developments. He is keen to help others gain the same opportunities he has been afforded, and thus hopes to continue working with UniAdmissions to tutor law applicants from all backgrounds.
